Nyuak Community Development Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to resource pooling here in the diaspora (North America, United States) to help our vulnerable community back in Africa, South Sudan, while providing leadership in the Nyuak community, a tri-community here in the diaspora.
OUR WORK
BUILDING A SAFE AND VIBRANT COMMUNITY BY:
- Working to promote unity among the tri-communities that form the Nyuak community back in South Sudan and in the diaspora.
- Promote literacy and health in South Sudan as part of social development and community well-being.
OUR IMPACT
NYUAK NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (NNAP):
- Nyuak Community Development Inc. provided a nutrition assistance program in one of South Sudan’s internal displaced persons (IDPs) camps to combat malnutrition and noncommunicable diseases among children.
- Funded and drilled one water borehole in the IDP camp.
- Fund and provide one speed boat for flood recovery services.
- Delivered batches of medicine, including venom sneaks’ bites medication.
Our Community
NYUAK’S REUNION
- Pursuit of peace and conflict resolution both in South Sudan and the diaspora amid tri-community internal discourse
- The first Nyuak reunion, the successful founding of Nyuak Community Development Inc., and the Nyuak interim leadership establishment in the United States of America.
